Google Chrome and Firefox, Safari, all work well here, with Google Chrome having the best and Internet Explorer, the poorest result. If you do need to use Internet Explorer, please consider using IE9. It is still in Beta but it has been working fine for me

To enter a contest (or Critique or Explore)::1_ please upload photos first, you will see upload links in several places including ON THE BOTTOM OF EACH PAGE - Hide quoted text -3_Once photos are uploaded, go to the photo display page (where photo is displayed large) 
4_Once on the Photo Display Page, put your mouse over the photo and you will find an "Options" button on the top left of the photo, click on that
5_from the drop down, choose "Enter a Contest" and choose the right category for your photo. and follow the screen.
